Motherhood, Familyhood...

Hey everyone!

I hope you’re all having an amazing day. I am having a blast! I got a chance to do lunch with the kiddos at my munchkin’s school and that was amazing.

This morning, I had a doctor’s appointment and the room was filled with expectant moms. It was the first time of me being there and having that many future mommies in the room. I got to chat with some of them. For some it is their first child and they’re both excited and nervous. I asked them why and here are a few answers….

1.     What will labor be like? I can’t even begin to understand it let alone live it.
2.     Will I need a C-section? OMG the scars!! (yes, we moms are allowed to be vain!)
3.     Will my baby come healthy with all his/her little fingers?
4.     The pain… Not going to think about it.
5.     Okay, I’m over it; he needs to come out. (reminded me of me!)

Ladies, hear me out… being a mom is a magnificent, sublime and overwhelming flood of emotions that as much as we try to explain we can’t. You know what?? It is OKAY to be scared too. I was freaking out my last few weeks of pregnancy! It is a new adventure, a new challenge, new experience that will change your life – your family life.

…And yes! Babies do NOT come with instructions, but you know what? You are a fearless, amazing and intelligent woman and you will be the best mom you can be. Never doubt yourself for one second (I know it’s hard) you are SUPER MOM! I mean it, every time you feel like that doubt and fear is creeping in – tell yourself “I am a SUPER MOM!”. Honestly, that goes to the dads too. Men aren’t as open when it comes to communicating their fears and doubts, but they do have them. I tell you dads out there too; you ARE A SUPER DAD! You will rock it like it’s 1999!

My advice after being a mom, for a good amount of time…

1.     Do your best and be proud of it!
2.     Love your little ones with all your might.
3.     Hug them, kiss them (yes, love never killed anyone!) teach them to show love and be loved. We have too many unloved and bitter peeps out there so lets make a difference.
4.     Most importantly… Have an AMAZINGLY FUN time with your kiddos.

Hope this helps and let me know your thoughts. What is your advice for new moms, current moms, and dads out there? Speak your mind!

Hugs and have a blessed day!
