Stress… the word that everyone
fears now at days. We live in a world that expects everything for yesterday.
Your boss wants a report, meetings can’t wait, picking up the cleaners and the
list is endless. Parents and everyone, live in a constant state of running,
worrying, and doing it all over again. The last few months I personally have
been battling with stress. My stress level got to the point where it was no
longer manageable. I started to have panic attacks, sleepless nights and not to
talk about the hormonal affects that started to take over my body. I would feel
down and out all the time. It was almost impossible to get up in the mornings.
I decided to take over my life from
stress and make something happen to change my situation. I started doing yoga
again - my favorite is Vanyasa as I love the sun salutation stretches. I
started to practice mindfulness and praying more often. Clearing my mind early
in the morning helped me managed the day ahead. I knew deep inside there was
more that could be done. I started looking into my died and trying to see where
changes needed to be done. The problem with that was, I need some assistance
from a professional in figuring out what my body was in need of.
During the same time, I was
suffering from severe back pains, stiffness of the neck and jaw - all this due
to the extremely levels of stress I was suffering from. I decided to seek the
assistance of a Chiropractor who just so happens to be the best doctor I have
ever had in my entire life. Yes, you read correctly - she is amazing! My
doctor, who is also a yogi and nutritional smart requested blood and other
tests. Sure enough, a discovery was made… My hormones were out of control, my
body was deficient in iron, vitamin B, vitamin D and the list went on. I was prescribed
a treatment of supplements, diet, massage, adjustments and acupuncture.
I can tell you that it has worked
wonders! I am not energetic, I sleep like a rock, my mood is stable and always
on the positive side. I am telling you this story so that if you are feeling
the pains, aches and frustration of stress - there is help! There is natural,
non-pharmaceutical/chemical, healthy, life changing options that you can look
into and I urge you to do so. I am living proof that it works and I am happy with
the life changes I’ve made.
